We were able to ski four days at Jackson Hole and were blessed with a couple awesome bluebird groomer/cruiser days matched up with a few epic powder days. On a bluebird day, Jackson Hole is beautiful. The view as you drop into a run is just insane. Apparently pretty enough to paraglide off the side of the mountain from the main lodge.
It may have been sunny, for those first couple days, but it was sub zero temperatures, hitting as low as -6 F without windchill, quite possibly the coldest we’ve ever skied in. Lucky for us, we bought balaclavas, not to be confused with baklava, the day before; those definitely saved the day.
The second night we were there, it snowed over a foot overnight and continued the entire third day. Behind cat skiing, this easily ranked in my top five powder days of all time. The tree skiing off of Casper chair was insane, knee to waist high and gave me my first feeling of needing a snorkel while skiing. It felt like I was being waterboarded with snow.
Next, we move on to Park City to ski the Canyons, Park City and Snowbird.
